Coaching Points

Step 1

Correct grip, relaxed and balanced stance. Eyes level.

Step 2

Rhythmic, high backswing.

Step 3

Back foot move backwards and just inside the line of ball, remaining parallel.
Body weight initailly taken on the ball of the back foot.
Head remains forward.
Front foot attains balanced position keeping upper body side on.
Bat begins downswing.

Step 4

Contact made in line with the eyes.
Bat vertical, showing full face, angled down.
Top hand in control.
Bottom hand relaxed.
Played gently with high hands.
